If you have the space under your desk then you should go for the typical 2.1, left/right speaker setup with a subwoofer on the floor. It'll give you an idea of the kind of speaker footprint that's feasible for your setup, or whether you need to get tidying in anticipation. First you need to figure out how much space you have to spare on your desk. Deciding on the best PC speakers isn't the simplest task.
